Our goal is to improve the health of mothers and children by sharing the knowledge we have gained with researchers throughout Canada and around the world. Many of the articles published with the MIREC data have piqued the interest of the researchers within Canada and internationally.
We aim to generate strong scientific research which can be used by other researchers and to influence the policies and guidelines that help Canadians make decisions about their health during pregnancy. We believe pregnancy is a critical period that can influence the future health of both child and mother.
With the help of our MIREC participants, we have been able to publish over 70 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals detailing our findings. And there are so many more to come, as over a hundred researchers and trainees are dedicated to analyzing the valuable data they’ve provided!
